Principle
Trackers that are strictly necessary for the site to work or for a service you request are used without consent. All others, in particular audience-measurement trackers, are only set and read after you agree through the cookie banner. Declining is as easy as accepting and has no effect on your access to the site.
Strictly necessary trackers
codetics-analytics-consent-v2 (local storage, Codetics): remembers whether you accepted or declined audience measurement. Duration: six months.
theme (local storage, Codetics): remembers the light or dark theme you chose. Duration: until you clear your browser data.
codetics-notebook (cookie, Codetics): gives access to the experimental "atelier" space after the access phrase is entered. Duration: two hours.
Security cookies from the host Vercel, where applicable: protect the site against abuse and bots. Duration: limited to their purpose.
Stripe cookies on the payment page (checkout.stripe.com): payment security and fraud prevention. They are governed by Stripe's policy: https://stripe.com/cookie-settings.
Trackers that require your consent
_ga and _ga_D75Z2B6EWC (cookies, Google Analytics): distinguish visitors and sessions to produce traffic statistics. Duration: thirteen months at most.
ph_<project identifier>_posthog (cookie and local storage, PostHog, hosted in the EU) and related session trackers: a random identifier and session information used to measure site usage and diagnose technical errors. Duration: thirteen months at most for the cookie; the life of the tab for session storage.
The site uses no session recording, no advertising trackers and no social media buttons that set trackers.
Giving, declining or withdrawing consent
On your first visit, the banner lets you "Accept" or "Decline". No consent-based tracker is set before you choose. Your choice is kept for six months, after which you are asked again.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookies" button at the bottom of every page. If you decline or withdraw consent, Google Analytics and PostHog stop loading and their cookies are deleted.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable.
